Libher Hausgetere - Maritsa SP Ltd intends to invest DEM 50 million in the new supermodern factory for production of refrigerators and freezers in Radinovo, Plovdivsko. The investment is the greatest industrial investment project in Bulgaria. The factory will be put into action in September this year.The total area of the factory is 100 000 sq. m By the end of the first year of production the production of the company is expected to be 120 000 products a year. 300 partners will be engaged. After the third year of exploitation the full capacity of the factory will be covered. The production is expected to be 200 refrigerators a year. There will be opened a lot more jobs. Over 90 per cent of the company’s productions will be exported to Western Europe and Bulgaria’s neighboring countries, but there are project for the development of the Bulgarian market as well. Libher is one of the leading producers of refrigerators and freezers in Europe. It has two factories in Oxenhausen (Germany) and Lienz (Austria). Their turnover for 1999 is over DEM 900 million.. The productions is 1,5 million refrigerators.

The German concern Libher will launch in exploitation a plant for production of refrigerators beside the village of Radinovo, Plovdiv. There is a new construction on a ground of 100 000 square metres. The new plant will produce 200 000 refrigerators annually and in it will work 300 workers. The productive programme expects the elaboration of 10 different models with low funds for electricity and in accordance with the ecological standards of the European Union. The investment amounts to DEM 50 million and is among the most considerable foreign industrial projects in Bulgaria. There has already been constructed a work-shop and the first production lines have been already delivered and mounted.

The German concern Libher will open its factory near Plovdiv. The official opening will be on October 19, was announced from the company Maritsa - Plovdiv. A year ago the German investors bought 93 decares of private lands in order to build the factory. It will have 300 employees. The annual capacity of the plant is 100 000 items.

The Swiss group Libher opened its first plant for production of refrigerators in Bulgaria on October 19 in village of Radinovo. After Germany and Austria, Bulgaria is the third country where the company opens a plant for white technics. 300 people from Plovdiv region will be hired in the plant. Workers from the fridge plant Mraz, Sofia are leaving or are taking not paid holiday by the beginning of March next year. The payment of the salaries for August and September is delayed. The owner of the privatized in 1996 plant for fridges Mr. Vassil Vassilev confirmed the information. According to him this situation is due to the structure of the consumption of fridge technics in the countries from the western Europe. Mrazt is seasonable company and in the winter months the consumption sharply drops and it increases again in the summer. according to mr. vassilev the production can't continue without markets. At the moment the Management of the plant is preparing a plan for reconstruction of the work of the work-shops.
