| Ficosota Syntez acquired the majority share in a Ukrainian factory - Onix. The deal is part of the company's strategy to grow on the Ukrainian market. The Bulgarian company will invest approximately USD 12 million in expanding its manufacture (a new plant for washing powder) and development of new products. Presently, Onix manufactures bleach and dish washing detergent. In comparison with 2006, in 2007 the Ukrainian subsidiary of Ficosota Syntez registered growth of approximately 60%. | Bulgaria's Ficosota buys Ukrainian household cleaners factory
Ficosota-Syntez, the Bulgarian maker of household cleaners, body care and laundry products, said it has bought a majority stake in an Ukrainian factory for household cleaners. The acquisition is part of Ficosota's $12 mln three-year strategy for expansion in the Ukraine where it already owns UPP, a feminine care business. The Bulgarian company will modernise the acquired production facility and build a new factory for detergents. | Ficosota-Syntez, the Bulgarian maker of household cleaners, body care and laundry products, said sales rose 30% year-on-year to over 100 mln levs in 2007. The forecast is for a further 35-40% growth in sales this year. | Tesy, the local maker of household heating appliances and water heaters, has opened a 5,250 sq m warehouse in Shumen. The storage facility, which cost 3.9 mln levs, has 9 loading ramps. It is run with the help of by an Oracle warehouse real-time management system. The adoption of the WMS is the company's first step towards a full deployment of an Enterprise Resource Planning system. | Ficosota Syntez, the Bulgarian fast-moving consumer goods manufacturer, osted 20% sales growth for the first nine months of 2008 and expects its profit by the end of the year to be between 35% and 40% higher year on year. The company operates on ten markets in Southeast Europe. In spite of the global financial crisis, the sales in Bulgaria increased by 14%, manager Krassen Kiurkchiev commented for Pari daily.
