One in Five Firms to Hire Staff One in five firms in Bulgaria plans to hire staff between April and June. Builders in the region of Plovdiv are the most likely to find a job. Varna is another region where there is an expected rise in hiring, Manpower managing director for Bulgaria, Serbia and Croatia Nadia Vassileva said. 23% of the of construction companies said they will look for new workers in the next three months. One out of five companies in agriculture, forestry and fishing will also needs new recruits. About 17% of the financial, insurance companies and real estate and service sector firms announced that they would hire additional staff in the near future. 14% of the trade companies will need new staff. That said. Preparation for the summer season is the main reason for the positive attitudes for recruitment for the next three months. Coca Cola will also look out for additional staff. "Coca-Cola" is planning to hire 300 professionals in finance. "Lufthansa Technik 'has announced plans to add 200 jobs for engineers and technical staff. The Swiss-based global engineering firm ABB plans to open a factory with 600 jobs. Another driving mechanism of the labor market is foreign companies opening offices to outsource IT services.

22% of Bulgarian Employers Plan to Hire New Staff in Q3, 2013 Almost one-fourth, or 22%, of the Bulgarian employers plan or expect to hire new employees during Q3, 2013, according to data of the Manpower recruitment agency. Traditionally for the summer tourist season, the service sector the hospitality industry, as well as construction, will offer the highest number of jobs, according to Manpower data, as cited by dnevnik.bg. Employers will be hiring staff at a stable pace, similar to that of the summer season of 2012. Fewer than one in every 10 employers, or 8 %, plan to cut jobs. Compared to Q2, 2013, the employment coefficient (the difference between the anticipated hiring and layoffs) will go up by 2 percentage points in Q3. Apart from the optimistic attitudes of 35% of hospitality industry representatives and 22% of construction companies, nine out of ten industry sectors, including research, also plan to hire staff. Employers in the spheres of finance, insurance, real estate, business services, production, and transport and warehousing, will seek to hire specialists and workers, and the employment coefficient for all of these spheres is +17%. Mining is the sole exception from the positive trend, reporting a decrease of 22 percentage points from the previous quarter. Employers in the Danube city of Ruse are most optimistic about hiring staff, with a coefficient of +18%, followed by Varna, Sofia and Plovdiv with 15%, 14% and 12%, respectively. The Black Sea city of Burgas also registers a positive trend with an employment coefficient of 11%.

A Swiss company opens a factory, looks for 100 employees A Swiss company is opening a factory in Montana in the autumn. The company is specialized in production of fuel briquettes. The new factory will employ 100 people. Still another chance for creation of jobs is the South Stream project. It will ensure 6000 new workplaces in Bulgaria. The construction project will probably employ 2500 workers, while the rest will be engaged in delivery and services. Data is announced by Manpower Bulgaria, which organized a survey on the labor market in the country. According to it in the last four months of the year, offers for jobs have been decreasing. Out of 750 employers, who participated in the survey, 17% said that they are planning to hire new workers in the period October-December. 13%, on the other hand are to reduce their personnel. Free positions are available in manufacturing, finances and insurance, business services.
