The Czech Rohlik has invested another EUR 500,000 in the Bulgarian eBag The Bulgarian online supermarket eBag has received another investment of EUR 500,000 from the Czech company Rohlik. This is the second tranche of the EUR 1 million investment announced in the summer of 2020, with eBag being able to choose whether or not to receive the remaining amount. In total, Rohlik already holds 7.63% of the company Convinience JSC. The founder Ivan Alexandrov still has a majority share in it, and the funds Eleven, HR Capital, MFG Invest, as well as Alexandrov's partner Ivaylo Karamanolev also have minority shares. The investment was made with an eBag valuation of EUR 17.8 million. Alexandrov commented that the investment will go for further business growth. 'We continue to invest in the service and the areas we serve, as well as in our capacity. All of this requires resources.' eBag's business is usually highly seasonal, with more orders in the winter and fewer in the summer. Due to the coronavirus, the workload has become even greater in recent months. 'This period was difficult in a different way than the previous peak around the coronavirus. We had no problems with the platform, but we added many people who had to enter the process immediately,' Alexandrov added. The company currently employs 300 people, and in the last two months of 2020, 200 people were hired, some of whom did not stay.
