A large-scale investment will "resurrect" the grain depot in the village of Trud. The owner of "Simid Agro" and producer of the bread of the same name, Mitko Karadjov, will renovate the half-destroyed silos that he purchased from Georgi Gergov. The first sod of the new facility was laid a few days ago. An investment proposal for the site was submitted to the Regional Inspectorate for Environment and Water Plovdiv more than 5 years ago. It states that a reconstruction and modernization of a silo farm - a grain depot with the construction of 4 new silos, which is part of the investor's complex grain depot, is planned. The new silos have an increased capacity and will be located on the existing foundations. The four new silos have a capacity of 7113 cubic meters each. They have a diameter of 18.30 meters and are 31.14 meters high. The necessary conveyors, walkways and an elevator tower are also planned for them, with all facilities having a metal structure. The modernized silos will store and process grain, and the service will be fully automated. New service technological equipment is also being introduced, which will allow for an increase in the receiving capacity to 135 cubic meters/hour.
