Nearly 1.5 billion leva were transferred from one pension fund to another by insured persons in our country in the first nine months of this year 2025, according to data from the Financial Supervision Commission. The insured persons who took advantage of their right to change participation and transfer funds from individual accounts during the period under review totaled 273,679 persons. The total amount of transferred funds amounted to 1.485 billion leva, including 1.388 billion leva in universal pension funds, 93.1 million leva in professional and 3.85 million leva in voluntary funds. For comparison, in the first nine months of last year 2024, a total of 276,632 persons transferred funds from one pension fund to another, with the total amount of transferred funds reaching 1.32 billion leva. The relative share of persons who changed their participation in 2025, compared to the average number of insured persons in universal pension funds, is 6.22 percent, in professional - 5.19 percent and in voluntary pension funds - 0.14 percent. The relative share of transferred funds for the first nine months of this year, compared to the average amount of net assets of universal pension funds is 5.64 percent, in professional - 5.05 percent and in voluntary pension funds - 0.24 percent. As of the end of September 2025, the total amount of net assets of all funds under the management of pension insurance companies is 30.029 billion leva, of which 29.685 billion leva are the net assets of pension funds, and 343.6 million leva of payment funds.
