The European Public Prosecutor's Office is investigating greenhouse gas quota fraud in thermal power plants linked to Kovacki The special operation is related to falsified reports of a private company that submitted understated data on greenhouse emissions from thermal power plants in the country, the European Prosecutor's Office reports. The European Public Prosecutor's Office specifies that from 2017 until now the company has knowingly submitted false data and documents for the annual reports to the competent national authorities, so as to understate greenhouse gas emissions from the thermal power plants in question according to the EU emissions trading system . TPP "Bobov dol", TPP "Brickel", TPP "Maritsa - 3", as well as the district heating plants in Pernik, Gabrovo, Sliven, Veliko Tarnovo, Ruse and Burgas are being checked.
