The government transferred properties to the Svishtov Municipality free of charge The government transferred free of charge properties with a total area of 434 sq. meters to the Municipality of Svishtov, with which the municipality will be able to continue the activities undertaken so far to build the "Danube Industrial Technology Park - Svishtov" and the adjacent infrastructure, which will contribute to its future socio-economic development. On May 30 last year, the official start of the first stage of the construction of "Danube Industrial Technology Park - Svishtov" EAD was announced in Svishtov. The sole owner of the company's capital, which amounts to 10,942,110 leva, is the Municipality of Svishtov. Previously, an Ordinance was adopted and is in force for the promotion of investments of municipal importance in the Municipality of Svishtov and for the issuance of a class "B" certificate. Based on the given conditions and prospects for its development, the municipality, together with the Ministry of Economy, organized the construction of "Danube Industrial Technology Park - Svishtov". The territory of the park is 320 decares and is suitable for activities aimed at permanently satisfying public needs of local importance, production, logistics and development of projects in the high-tech sector. The technology park is located in the eastern industrial zone of the city of Svishtov. Its northern border is the Danube River, and on the southern side are convenient road connections to Sofia (235 km), Varna (260 km), Veliko Tarnovo (80 km) and Ruse (85 km). In the immediate vicinity are the ports - Svishtov Port (800 m), Svilosa Port (5 km), Zimnich Port (1 km), Belene Port (20 km). 150 million euros have been provided for the project for the Danube Industrial Technology Park in Svishtov.
