Those people who take mortgages from commercial bank Allianz Bulgaria will pay lower taxes, Strahil Vidinov, Executive director of the bank informed. The bank will offer a new product in 2005. With the new product, instead of installments on the loans, there will be paid insurance bonuses, which will be accumulated in an investment fund. At the end of the validity of the insurance, the money will be used for acquittal of the loan. What is advantageous for the people is that up to 10 per cent from their incomes may be paid for Life insurance and that this money is exempt from taxation. Yesterday was the first day when the Bulgarians could open bank accounts in CB Allianz Bulgaria free of charge.

Pension Insurance Company Allianz Bulgaria reported BGN 2.2 mln net profit for 2004, executive director Ms. Sofia Hristova said. During the period the company distributed over BGN 24 mln of income among the accounts of its clients. The return of the three pension funds managed by the company for 2004 is between 10.30 and 10.64 per sent. Companys investment policy pursues distribution of steady and regular income among the accounts of the insured, Ms. Hristova commented. The average annual return of Allianz Bulgarias voluntary pension fund over the past five years was 10.32 per cent, and the income capitalized for the same period 63.38 per cent. The assets of the funds managed by Pension Insurance Company Allianz Bulgaria increased by 42 per cent to BGN 280.210 mln, BGN 171.202 mln of which were accumulated in the voluntary fund, BGN 59.051 mln in the universal one, and BGN 49.957 mln in the professional one.

The average return of all the eight voluntary pension funds reached 10.6 per cent from July 1, 2004 to March 10, 2005. Savings in the universal pension funds yielded 9.9 per cent, the Financial Supervision Commission announced. Daily calculation of funds' profitability started on July 1, 2004. Allianz Bulgaria Voluntary Pension Fund reached 16.14 per cent annual yield during January 1 - February 28, 2005, the company said. Over the same period Allianz Bulgaria Universal Pension Fund achieved 12,13 per cent annual yield.

Pension insurance fund Allianz Bulgaria distributed a total of BGN 6.469 million yield from its three funds for the first two months of the year, company's representatives said. A total of BGN 4.135 million went to the Allianz Bulgaria's voluntary fund, BGN 1.222 million to the voluntary, and BGN 1.112 million - to the occupational fund. For the period Allianz Bulgaria has distributed an annual yield of 16.14 per cent.

Allianz Bulgaria at a General meeting, held on March 15, decided to pay a 14-percent dividend for 2004. It is the first ever licensed pension fund here to distribute dividends among the stockholders, sources from the insurance company said. For 2004, they report pre-tax profit amounting to BGN 2.84 million , which is a growth by 27 per cent as against the previous year. The assets run by the Pension Insurance Fund saw a 42-per cent growth, up to BGN 280 million in a year alone.

Voluntary pension fund Allianz Bulgaria has invested recently some BGN 800 000 at the Stock Exchange, some BGN 495 000 of which are in shares of Advance Invest. The voluntary pension fund Allianz Bulgaria has increased its stake in the investment company from 3.68 per cent up to 6.74 per cent, BSE Sofia announced. As of March 25 the pension fund holds 18 927 shares of KD Pelikan JSC, after acquiring 7.61 per cent of companys capital.

The Sofia city court has entered the capital raise of Allianz Bulgaria, the pension insurance company. Allianz Bulgaria increases its capital from BGN 3 million to BGN 5 million through the issue of 2 million book-entry voting shares with a par value of BGN 1 each. The raise is funded with BGN 1.550 million undistributed profit for 2003 and BGN 449,538 deferred profit for previous years.

Allianz Bulgaria - Pension Insurance Company JSC will pay the costs for notary certified statements (BGN 3) for moving funds under its management., from the company was reported. The notary certified signature guarantees that those insured have decided to change their pension insurance fund. In the first quarter of 2005, 15 174 people decided to change their pension insurance funds , 28 per cent of those have chosen Allianz Bulgaria - Pension Insurance Company JSC.
