Six of the nine mandatory supplementary pension insurance funds had negative returns for the period June 30, 2020 - June 30, 2022, according to the latest data from the Financial Supervision Commission. The return on universal funds for the past 24 months has ranged as low as minus 2.29. The fund with the largest market share - Doverie - is down 1.60. The second - "Allianz" is minus 0.11. "DSK-Rodina" is minus 2.24, "Consent" - minus 2.29, "OBB" - minus 0.01, and "Toplina" - minus 1.74. "CCB-Sila" has a score of 2.72, "Pension Insurance Institute" has a plus of 1.5, and "Budeshte" has a score of 0.99. In the case of voluntary funds, where there is insurance for a third pension and investment restrictions are lighter, the picture is much better - here only two funds have a negative yield ("Doverie" - minus 1.13 and "DSK-Rodina" - minus 1 .15), and there is also a fund that achieved a yield of 8.75 - "Consent". "Allianz" is with 0.64, "OBB" - with 0.71, "CCB-Sila" - with 5.22, "Budeshte" - with 2.45, "Toplina" - with 1.16, and "Pension Insurance institute" - with 2.61. Half of the investments and balance sheet assets of the universal funds are in debt securities issued or guaranteed by countries or their central banks, by the ECB, the EIB or international financial organizations - 50.46% for the nine funds, and the share of this type for the individual funds investment varies from 16 to 65%. Next in importance are investments in shares, shares, warrants, etc. - 38.57%, and here their share in individual funds varies from 26 to 55%.
