Stara Zagora invests ˆ16.4 million in the development of the Zagore Industrial Zone The Municipality of Stara Zagora will invest 16.4 million euros (32.1 million leva) in the development of the Zagore – Elenino Industrial Zone. The funds will be provided under the Regional Development Program 2021–2027. The project has a 24-month implementation period and is aimed at accelerating the economic transformation of the region and creating conditions for attracting strategic investors. The total value of the planned infrastructure investment amounts to 16,415,052 euros (32,105,051.13 leva), with the Municipality of Stara Zagora as a specific beneficiary, in partnership with the Electricity System Operator (ESO) and the associated partnership of the Zagore Industrial Zone AD. Industrial Park "Industrial Zone Zagore" in the village of Elenino is developing as a strategic territory in the southern part of Stara Zagora, with direct access to the national road network and proximity to the "Trakia" highway. Currently, "Industrial Zone Zagore" has signed contracts with four investors with planned investments of over 225 million euros and the potential to create more than 1,100 new jobs, in addition, negotiations are underway with three more investors.
