The revenues of the largest manufacturers of ceramic products in Bulgaria increased by an average of 17% in 2021. The record holder for growth with over 58% is the brick manufacturer "Keramika - Burgas". With a turnover of nearly BGN 144 million, the leader in the sector remains the tile manufacturer "Khan Asparuh" from Isperih, followed by its subsidiary "Khan Omurtag" - Shumen. Both companies are part of the "KAI Group", which is owned by the American Mohawk Industries (with a turnover of 11.2 billion dollars for 2021). In third place with BGN 58 million turnover and nearly 24% growth is Plovdiv's "Robertshaw", which produces ceramic components for white goods (ignitable electrodes for burners, mechanical and electromechanical parts for stoves, etc.). Until recently, the company was called "Cast Futura - BG" and was part of the Italian CastFutura, which at the end of 2018 was acquired by the American Robertshaw. Roca Bulgaria, the manufacturer of sanitary ware, which is the owner of the former Fayance plant in Caspichan and is part of the Spanish Roca group, has recorded over a quarter of revenue growth, but also a tripling of the loss. A minimal decline in sales was registered by the manufacturer of bricks and tiles "Wienerberger" in Lukovit, which is part of the Austrian Wienerberger.
